French Tips or Canadian Liquid Paper???
A conversation between a boy and a girl about her French tips.
She proudly showed off her newly self-manicured French tips on her fingers.
Girl: “Look” (smiling and referring to her finger nails)
Boy: (looked briefly at the object being shown off and didn’t quite get it) “Oh? So you put liquid paper on your nails?”
Girl: (couldn’t hold her laugh) “What? No! Those are French tips. Remember I bought a little bottle yesterday from Walmart? That’s French tips nail paint.”
Boy: (still didn’t quite get it) “Oh I see.” (paused…) “Why would you call it French tips when you bought that thing here? Why not Canadian tips?”
Girl: (cracked up and laughed out loud) “They are called French tips. I suppose it’s the French way of doing their manicure but whatever, it’s called French tips. They are those little white stuff painted towards the tips of the nails.”
Boy: (still not showing any enthusiasm) “Ohh so I get it now. Those are the things you guys (he meant you “ladies”) like to do to your nails. I see.”
Girl: (still laughing) “What? You know those? You’ve seen them before?”
Boy: “Yeah of course. Some ladies have those stuff. They glow in the dark and sh!t.”
Girl: “I didn’t know they glow in the dark, hahahaha.”
Boy: “Yeah I always thought they do it for racing. I never quite got it.”
Girl: (laughing, kept laughing and laughing)
Oh boys… sometimes they never fail to crack me up. Btw, the story above is non-fictional. You know what I mean =)
